The Anonymous donor is used in several circumstances - in the UK, this is a legal requirement but the US should not be seeing this utilised unless the donor information is unavailable at the time of processing the gift - for example, if the donor has formally requested that their data be removed from JustGiving systems. It has recently been identified that the help information should be updated to be clearer on the use of this functionality.
