Ideas Bank

We value your unique insight into our products and services and often receive ideas and feedback from our community in a variety of ways. To streamline this process, we’ve created an idea bank where you can post product suggestions, vote for those most important to you, and add comments to existing ideas.

Default Gift Amount Settings

Consider adding the ability for charities to set a 'default' gift amount at the campaign level when the donate button is pressed. This can be tied, in many cases, to specifically stated needs in an appeal - 'For $25, you'll ensure that two families are fed.'  As fundraisers adopt the campaign, they might be presented with the opportunity to inherit the default gift amount from the campaign.

Hi Brian, I'm sorry that this has not been replied to for some time. I understand your ask and this is great feedback that I will take away to the campaigns team so we can prioritise accordingly and get some further customisations to campaigns.

in the mean time, there are a few suggestions.

    1) We do offer a free fully customisable product called 'Giving Checkout' where you can create multiple checkouts ( a bit like campaigns) and edit the amounts, add text prompts, add branding and keep track of donations in real -ime in the charity account area.

    https://www.justgiving.com/charities/giving-checkout

This is accessible in the UK + IE, US (DAF), AU, and NZ, please feel free to give it a try!

    2) you can use what we call 'deep links' these are customisable parameters that can edit the checkout experience and that you can then share with your donors.

an example of one is here

    https://link.justgiving.com/v1/campaign/donate/campaignGuid/b3e2ea1e-7520-49c5-ab50-66f7255ca774?SuggestedAmounts=12&SuggestedAmounts=13&SuggestedAmounts=14&SuggestedAmounts=16&SuggestedAmounts=18&amount=10

you can get your campaignGuid code, but either contacting support or letting me know your campaign page and I could find that for you. by changing the suggested amounts after the '?' you quickly change and edit the suggested amount boxes. and by adding the &amount= parameter with a number after that, you can change the default amount after you click donate. in the example above I set it to 10.

I hope this helps for now until we scope and prioritise some future plans to get some campaign customisations!
