Problem Statement:
The JustGiving integration is unnecessarily difficult to reconcile for the following reasons:
There's no payment info mapped to the gift records besides the payment method
The integration doesn't map the BBMS Transaction ID as a gift custom field, like Online Giving does
The integration maps the JustGiving Transaction ID to the "Reference" field but the mapped value isn't just the ID; the mapped value format is "JustGiving [JustGiving Transaction ID]", so you can't efficiently query the "Reference" field using the "one of" operator
Users have to log into JustGiving just to reconcile the BBMS Transaction ID with the JustGiving Transaction ID and then the user has to reconcile Raiser's Edge using the JustGiving Transaction ID value from the JustGiving report against the "Reference" field of the Raiser's Edge gift record
Suggested Feature Enhancement:
Map the BBMS Transaction ID as a gift custom field
Move the JustGiving Transaction ID from the "Reference" field to a gift custom field called "JustGiving Transaction ID"
Remove the "JustGiving" text from the mapped Transaction ID format; the value should only contain the JustGiving Transaction ID
Benefits of this Change:
The JustGiving Transaction ID would be cleanly tracked in a designated location that is exclusively used to track the JustGiving Transaction ID, rather than the "Reference" field which many organizations use for other purposes
Users wouldn't have to run multiple reports in multiple applications just to reconcile their Raiser's Edge data entry
Users wouldn't have to export and manually manipulate the "Reference" value on the Raiser's Edge gift record just so they can pull the Raiser's Edge gift records they're attempting to reconcile against their BBMS disbursement
Overall, this would substantially reduce the amount of time, confusion, and frustration users face when reconciling and return that time back to the organization to focus on tasks/projects that directly serve their mission statement
