We have consolidated receipts for OnlineExpress and don't want to start issuing tax receipts through JustGiving because it's too confusing for donors and our staff. I'm also disappointed in the functionality of the tax receipt system in JustGiving.
Thanks so much for your follow-up. We have worked with other third party applications that issue tax receipts and it creates so much extra work for us at tax time. We spend a lot of administrative time resending tax receipts that have been issued. Also, when donors receive their consolidated tax receipt from us, they tell us that it���s wrong because they forget that they received a tax receipt through third party giving.
Our preference is to issue a ���confirmation��� for the gift from JustGiving that includes a notification that the receipt will be issued by Opportunity International Canada in January of the following year with our contact information. Ultimately, we receive the funds and track the giving for all donations in RE.

Sorry to hear this feedback but I did want to try and get some more clarity from you on this subject.
Firstly, we are obliged to send donation receipts to all donors that make a donation on JustGiving. In those donation receipts we include the necessary data regarding the donation and in conjunction with local market policy around data sharing. Donors expect from us (JustGiving) a donation receipt and that is often used when they speak with our support teams regarding refunds etc
Secondly, we're about to introduce a new feature that allows a charity to search through their donations received and generate - on demand - a fresh receipt for a given donation, should you need that for you own records or if you need to resend one to the original donor.
Does this - based on your feedback - overly concern you? If so, I'd love to hear and understand why?
