Campaigns need multiple events

It doesn't make any sense to call a campaign a "campaign" if only one event can be attached to it. That is not a campaign. If that's the setup, then there's no reason to separate out events and campaigns. Fundraisers should be able to attach their own events to a campaign. Really disappointing.

    Hi Lauren,

Thank you for the feedback concerning campaigns and events. Just to help I thought I'd detail how campaigns support events at present.

A campaign, when created by a charity, can be set as one of two options:

    1. The campaign can be fixed to a specific event (and therefore only fundraiser pages associated to that event can be connected to the campaign)

    2. The campaign can be set to be open to any event (and therefore allow a fundraiser to associate a fundraising page from any event to that campaign)

So the onus on whether pages can be connected to a campaign is dictated by the charity that creates the campaign.

In most cases the campaigns tend to be set as open allowing fundraisers of any type to associate their page but equally we have seen non profits create event specific campaigns like a 10km run and in those cases they have wanted to prevent fundraisers doing different types of events from joining the campaign. This is feedback that came up when we tested our campaign ideas and we've seen further cemented since launch.

    Regards

    Jamie
